  Working principle of butterfly valve

  The butterfly plate is driven by the valve stem. If it rotates 90 degrees, it can open and close once. The flow rate of the medium can be controlled by changing the deflection angle of the butterfly plate.

  Butterfly valve action

  Butterfly valves are suitable for transporting various corrosive and non-corrosive fluid media in pipeline systems in power generation, gas, natural gas, LPG, city gas, hot and cold air, chemical metallurgy, power generation environmental protection, and building water supply and drainage engineering systems.

  Pressure test method

  The strength test of pneumatic butterfly valves is the same as that of globe valves. In the butterfly valve sealing performance test, the test medium should be introduced from the medium flow end, the butterfly plate should be opened, the other end should be closed, and the injection pressure should reach the specified value.

  After checking that the packing and other seals are leak-free, close the butterfly plate, open the other end, and check that the butterfly plate seal is leak-free. As a butterfly valve for regulating flow, no sealing performance test is required.

  Working principle of ball valve

  A ball valve is a valve that uses a sphere with a circular passage as the opening and closing component, and the sphere rotates with the valve stem to achieve the opening and closing action. The opening and closing part of the ball valve is a perforated sphere, which rotates around an axis perpendicular to the channel, thereby achieving the purpose of opening and closing the channel.

  Ball valve action

  Ball valves are mainly used for opening and closing the medium in pipelines and equipment, and are mainly used for rapid switching of fluids. Because the switching degree is difficult to control, it is not suitable for flow regulation.

  Pressure test method

  The strength test of pneumatic ball valves should be carried out when the sphere is half open.

  Sealing test of floating ball valve;

  Place the valve in a half-open state, introduce the test medium from one end, and close the other end; rotate the sphere several times. When the valve is closed, open the closed end for inspection and check the sealing performance of the packing and gasket at the same time. There is no leakage. Then introduce the test medium from the other end and repeat the above test.

  Sealing test of fixed ball valve:

  Rotate the sphere several times without load before the test. When the fixed ball valve is closed, introduce the test medium to the specified value from one end; check the sealing performance of the inlet end with a pressure gauge. The accuracy of the pressure gauge is 0.5~1, and the measurement range is 1.5 times the test pressure.

  No pressure reduction phenomenon within the specified time is qualified; introduce the test medium from the other end and repeat the above test. Then, place the valve in a half-open state, close both ends, and fill the cavity with the medium. Check the packing and gasket under the test pressure, and no leakage is allowed.

  Three-way ball valves should be tested for sealing performance at different positions.
