Project Background

Sunlight Hydrogen Energy's electrolyzer project in Oman marks a significant breakthrough in the Middle East market. The project will primarily supply multiple sets of ALK hydrogen production equipment, along with comprehensive lifecycle solutions, for the 320MW green ammonia synthesis plant, with deliveries expected to be completed by the end of 2025.

The Indian ACME Group, the project investor, has positioned Oman’s green hydrogen and green ammonia initiative as a strategic priority. The first-phase plan calls for an annual production capacity of 100,000 tons of green ammonia, with an ambitious long-term goal to expand output to 1.2 million tons per year. Supporting this project will be a total electrolyzer capacity of approximately 3.5 GW. Sunlight Hydrogen Energy has successfully secured the largest share of the project’s water electrolysis hydrogen production systems, set to deliver multiple 1,000 Nm³/h alkaline electrolyzers along with flexible hydrogen production solutions.
